The next testnet wave (wave 3) will be permanent untill mainnet. That is, no constant wiping of transactions as done in previous waves

I believe end users can also participate by testing various applications built on sui. One doesn’t necessarily have to run a node.

No, testnet transactions and mainnet transactions are entirely different. Your transactions will be recorded when you transact on mainnet
