Unable to connect my ledger device to send my SUI from chrome extension to another wallet

I get this message after I press the send button: connect your ledger device and try again. I have been sending in the pas without any problem but only today it has stopped working.
My ledger device is well-connected and I am able to send / receive cryptos using the ledger live app. Also I open my SUI account open on the device but still the same message coming. I restarted my MAC twice but still no result. please help. Johnny

I am also having the same problem.

I have:
Updated Ledger firmware
Connected successfully to computer/ Ledger live app (to test that it can connect)
Attempted to use Dapps and to ro a test send of Sui coin to another wallet

I have attempted these transactions several times and everything has failed.

Any ideas?

I also have the same issue. I tried to swap SUI coins and because Ledger app is not responsive on SUI wallet browser extension I am not able to do it. I hope this issue will be resolved soon.

Got this same issue “connect your ledger device and try again” when try to unstake with my google chrome extension connected to my ledger. My ledger is connected en SUI app is open. 19 November I was able so sent SUI to wallet using this device and approving with ledger. I also updated ledger hardware in the meantime.

Also tried sending some SUI back to the exchange and the same message “connect your ledger device and try again” while ledger is okay with other transactions and SUI app is open.

No. I think we have to wait for the developers to fix and update the Ledger app. I tried many times to swap or send SUI coins and I even updated the browser extension SUI wallet in case it would be the extension´s fault. But it is not. Unfortunately it has to be the application’s issue. :unamused:

Same issue here. I assume no one got a solution yet. Pretty strange. I will try to check on the Ledger side. I have opened a ticket, curious in how many days they will get back to me

Ledger as well as SUI are clearly aware of the issue and they are saying that their developers are working on resolving this issue. I was in touch with Conor Kenny (influencer), who also greatly promotes SUI, he also mentioned to me that he is aware of the problem and he knows that they are working on it.
So fingers crossed that they figure a solution for us to get to our funds still this cycle. I have all my SUI on my ledger and basically can’t trade or sell it, causing me some substantial damage…

This is currently under investigation. Was holding off on posting until I had more information to share, but due to the number of you posting, I wanted to touch base early to let you all know we’re looking into it.

One user from the below thread had luck doing the following:

It seems that removing and re-adding the account fixed the problem.

I received the solution from Ledger and it worked:
If your Ledger device is already connected to the Sui Wallet and you’re experiencing issues, you can try removing and re-adding your account. Here’s how:

  1. Remove the Account:

    • Open the Sui Wallet extension in your Chrome browser.
    • Go to the “Settings” menu by clicking the hamburger icon.
    • Navigate to “Accounts.”
    • Select the account you wish to remove and follow the prompts to delete it.
  2. Re-add the Account:

    • Ensure your Ledger device is connected and unlocked.
    • Open the SUI app on your Ledger device by navigating to it and pressing both buttons.
    • In the Sui Wallet, go back to “Settings” > “Accounts.”
    • Select “Connect Ledger Wallet,” then click “Continue.”
    • Choose your Ledger device and click “Connect.”
    • Select an account and click “Unlock.”

Hi I have the same problem when upgrading my Ledger nano-x to version 2.4.0 and my sui account can not access my ledger no matter what. First tried installing on a new computer with same ledger but the sui-ledger key which I had is not showing up on the list of key options to use for new sui account. What do I need to back up as proof in case I try your method above and delete the account and won’t be able to recover it then!! Don’t want to lose the funds I have in my wallet with no way of recovering it. please help.

Problem fixed. used my IT skills and first tried creating a second account using ledger, deleting it and then re-adding it using the same ledger key from the list which also shows the amount of sui coins you have. That gave me confidence to then try it on my actual troubled account as per your suggestion which worked perfectly. I wish ledger at least had this in their documentation for people using SUI before upgrading their OS. Its very scary and upsetting with next to no support from ledger.
