1 is lit on the avatar, as if the message has not been read. Although all messages are read. How do I delete it?

Have you flipped through these tabs to see if the notification reveals its self?
I recall having a rogue notification that I struggled to clear one day, but I’m failing to remember what the cause of it was. I’ll think about it.

@mosaicRegressor I looked at all the tabs. Everything is read. This is the status of an unread message

It looks like this may be a bug that Discourse (The forum software) is actively working on patching.
