I discovered posits aka Unum Type 3, some days ago and they seem to not have much discussions yet. I think they are a great fit for move as a basic data type and we should support this innovative data type. They have some advantages compared to floats:
- Fewer places with underfloats
- Ability to display numbers humans care about, like 2, 1/3, …
- Higher precision around 1
I think for games and AI, this datatype is very interesting.
I suggest adding p8, p16, p32
