Who We Are
Haystack is building compliance-first tokenised securities infrastructure on SUI. We’re bringing non-listed securities to retail and institutional investors through a regulated, on-chain platform.
This is a greenfield build. No legacy code. We have a white paper, a working proxy of the smart contract architecture, and a clear regulatory path. Now we need a builder who can take this from prototype to production.
What You’d Be Working On
You’d be helping us refine and build out our Move smart contracts - the core infrastructure layer that handles token lifecycle, settlement, compliance, and investor onboarding.
The platform uses multiple token types with different transfer characteristics; some restricted (Closed-Loop), some freely transferable (Coin standard), some soulbound. Settlement is atomic. Compliance checks are enforced at the contract level. Every action emits events for a full audit trail.
This is regulated financial infrastructure with real legal obligations, real investors, and real money. If you’ve been looking for a blockchain project with actual substance and a clear path to market - this is it.
What We’re Looking For
Must haves:

Strong experience with Move language on SUI (or Aptos Move with willingness to adapt)

Understanding of SUI’s object model, ownership mechanics, and the Closed-Loop Token / Coin standards

Experience writing and deploying smart contracts on Layer 1 networks

Comfort with TypeScript/JavaScript for backend integration and SDK development

Familiarity with cryptographic primitives - signatures, hashes, transaction flows

Ability to work autonomously and move fast in an early-stage environment
Strong pluses:

Experience with tokenisation, digital assets, or securities infrastructure

Understanding of token standards and on-chain asset representation

Familiarity with queue-based architectures and webhook-driven systems

Experience integrating blockchain infrastructure into backend applications

Knowledge of compliance patterns - KYC/AML registries, transfer restrictions, audit trails

Exposure to fintech, payments, or regulated financial services a benefit (but not essential)

Founding Team
The founding team comes from institutional investment management - we’ve run pension scheme money in the UK and understand the regulatory, operational, and fiduciary requirements of managing other people’s assets.
