Frankly, both projects are highly overrated, in my opinion. I hope that time will put everything in its place.

Not quite competitors, of course. Aptos is focused more on Defi and Sui on games, NFT projects. I like Sui more. There is more hype, a powerful community, the ecosystem is getting bigger every day. Sui will be one of the best blockchains.
