From 2024-09-04, coinciding with the 1.33 release of Sui, GraphQL will expose only one version, accessible at the following URLs:
https://sui-mainnet.mystenlabs.com/graphql
https://sui-testnet.mystenlabs.com/graphql
https://sui-devnet.mystenlabs.com/graphql
We will no longer support picking versions of the GraphQL service by supplying an explicit version number (like 2024.4
), or using the legacy
, stable
or beta
version labels. If you are using these labels to access GraphQL, please switch back to using the appropriate URL above, based on the network you are querying from.
Why? With the GraphQL service and Indexer still in development, we are struggling to maintain a good level of service across all the versions we committed to support. We’re sorry for the churn this may have caused, and are keen to be able to ship fixes and improvements to the service quicker as well. From September 9th, we will start to ship GraphQL on the same release cadence as other parts of Sui. This means that the schema may change more quickly, but we are also hopeful that the service overall will improve more quickly.
We are still committed to preserving backwards compatibility in the long-run, and will revisit the best way to do that once things have stabilized, as we know that it can be a burden downstream to work with a schema that might change every two weeks.
Let us know if you have questions on Telegram, Discord, or below. Thanks for your patience while we get this service up and running!
